Reiki is a Japanese method that promotes healing and relaxation through gentle touch and the movement of energy through the body of the recipient. Reiki has changed in many ways as it has become popular in the West over the last 40 years.
Reiki is empowering and can be very transformative, as it allows us to feel cared for and reminds us that we are worthy of healing, both physically and emotionally. As a method of stress reduction, Reiki is a valuable technique that allows us to access and at times activate our bodies’ natural healing ability.
The experience of Reiki encourages awareness and acceptance of our bodies without judgement as they are. This gentle experience can cause profound shifts in the way we experience our Self.
