This is My Story
Hi! I’m Ten. Raised Jewish, I had a childhood interest in the paranormal and UFOs that grew into an interest in religion and a rich appreciation for the ways Spirit informs our collective experiences. I have been a tarot reader since 1997. In my interfaith practice, I work to blend my understanding of different traditions into a mindful approach tailored individually for each client.
I first encountered Eastern philosophy through Beatles records and the works of Western teachers and poets like Alan Watts, Ram Dass, and Alan Ginsburg. After deepening my understanding, I took refuge as a Buddhist practitioner in the Vajrayana tradition in 2001.
I received my BA in Religious Studies with a concentration in Asian religions from Hiram College in 2005. This was followed by a Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science from the University of Pittsburgh in 2006. I participated in the Kalachakra Initiation by His Holiness the Dalai Lama in Washington DC in 2011, furthering my commitment to Buddhist practice. In 2016, I completed my Reiki attunements and attained Reiki Level III. After more than 20 years as a reader, I began teaching in 2019.
While my main focus is tarot, I have an academically trained understanding of Jewish Kabbalah, Buddhist meditation, yoga, chakra systems, Kundalini experiences, Hindu tantra, spiritual emergence, and new American religious traditions. I also have experience with energy work, channeling, mediumship, and other forms of divination.
In my secular life, I have been a librarian in the Pittsburgh area since 2008. I am queer, neurodivergent, and familiar with the basics of Western therapeutic modalities including MBSR, CBT and DBT. I love to listen and learn as well as talk and teach.
I look forward to meeting you on your journey.
